AFU Repelled 100 Attacks Per Day. Russians Try to Advance in Ukraine's Bakhmut and Surrounding Areas

Bakhmut update

According to Ukraine’s General Staff, the Russian Federation continues its attempts to surround Bakhmut and break through Ukrainian defenses near Kreminnaya, Avdiivka, and Maryinka. Despite significant losses, Russian troops are advancing towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, and Maryinka. Ukrainian soldiers repelled 102 attacks per day.

The enemy is also trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kupiansk and Kreminnaya direction. Unsuccessfully attacking in the areas of Dvorichna, Nevsky, Chervonpopivka, Kreminnaya, Dibrova, Bilogorivka, and Verkhnyokamyansky. The invaders also unsuccessfully advanced in Kamianka, Avdiyivka, Vodyanyi, Severny, Pershotravnevy, Maryinka, and Pobieda districts.

Why does it matter?

As the continued aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine is a matter of global concern. The attempts to break through Ukrainian defense in Bakhmut and surrounding areas pose a threat to the stability of the region. Commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrsky was coming to Bakhmut. He said that everything possible is being done to maintain the city and give Ukraine room to prepare for the spring counteroffensive.
